This is an opportunity to be employed by Ephraim McDowell Health Resources, affiliation with Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC), a comprehensive 222-bed acute care medical center located in Danville, Kentucky. We are a Level 3 trauma center seeing 30,000 ED visits annually.  Our medical staff consists of more than 100 physicians who serve approximately 120,000 residents from 14 clinics located in a six-county service area delivering comprehensive health care close to home for thousands living in central Kentucky.

EMRMC has a robust Hospitalist group that covers all inpatient coverage.  Medical Staff call is 1:4.

The physician would work a four to five day week in an in-patient/out-patient setting on the hospital campus.

Our flagship hospital, Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, is the only hospital in Kentucky to earn three Gold Seals of Excellence from The Joint Commission.

Located 35 miles from Lexington and 75 miles from Louisville, Danville has a “small-town” charm, a town of approximately 28,000, with many opportunities for enjoying leisure time, including shopping, restaurants, and Community Arts Programming including Centre College’s Norton Center for the Arts.

Our health care system provides technology and services normally only available in much larger communities. We offer a full range of services with some of the most sophisticated equipment including, Olympus 190 Endoscopes, BARR X HALO System, and Covidean Endoscopy Equipment.

The hospital also has an Endo Team available to assist in multiple procedures.

The Gastroenterologist can expect to build a busy practice quickly.  EMRMC administration is very supportive of this recruitment effort.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a three year employed agreement with Ephraim McDowell Health Resources:

• Year One: Guaranteed Salary based on local market conditions. 
• Year Two and Year Three: Base Salary plus productivity
• There is no cap to potential income
