HCA Midwest Health is assisting in the search for a Gastroenterologists with an interest in General GI. The incoming Gastroenterologists will be joining an experienced, private practice group of 8 physicians and 7 advanced practice providers.
Established for 40+ years, the private practice features undertones of an academic practice affording providers the ability to participate in clinical research or teaching. The group also features stability as they are in collaboration and partnership with the area’s largest healthcare network in Kansas City.
In this group, providers will have the ability to develop a niche practice within a subspecialty area with a good mix of general GI. Candidates with an interest will have significant potential for growth in advance therapeutic endoscopy, women’s health, motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, among other areas of special interest. Boasting both an urban and suburban patient population, the group features a high volume of complex GI diseases. The practice at present has a very broad referral network with focuses in advance endoscopy, biliary tract disease, liver disease, hepatology and general GI. Procedures preformed include but are not limited to EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP and High Resolution Esophageal Manometry with Impedence. The group utilizes capsule endoscopy (Pillcam), Bravo pH studies, Radiofrequency ablation of Barrett’s, and various stent placements.
The incoming candidate can expect to have 2-3 clinics per week in a newly constructed outpatient clinic located at I-435 and Roe. The incoming candidate will also support endoscopy rounds at several area HCA hospitals. Call will be shared equally and will have Advanced Practice Providers to provide additional call coverage and rounding support. The incoming provider can expect to be 1:4 call.
