Mission Health System is seeking additional Trauma Surgeons to join a well-established team of 11 Trauma and Critical Care Surgeons, 6 Trauma Advanced Practitioners, and excellent Trauma support staff. 

Mission Hospital Trauma Center based in Asheville, NC is Western North Carolina’s only Level II Trauma Center for both adults and children. More than 3,500 trauma patients are treated annually from Asheville and the surrounding region. The Trauma System is supported by numerous professionals including our Trauma Advanced Practitioners, General Surgery Residents and are available 24/7, 365 days a year. Mission primarily treats blunt injured trauma patients; however, penetrating injuries related to gunshot wounds have increased 56% since FY16.

Successful candidates must: 
• Have 1 – 2 years of fellowship training in Trauma - Surgical Critical Care 
• Be Board Certified / Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. 
• Be ATLS & ACLS Certified 
• Able to obtain a unrestricted NC medial licensure and hospital privileges
