Requirements
MidMichigan Health, an affiliate of Michigan Medicine, the health care division of the University of Michigan, has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced general surgeon or graduating resident. Applicant must have completed a residency program in General Surgery approved by the Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education or the American Osteopathic Association.
Certification by the American Board of Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery or equivalent board in another country which is recognized by the American Board of Surgery. Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency or fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible for Medical Staff appointment. However, in order to remain eligible, those applicants must achieve board certification in their primary area of practice within five (5) years from the date of completion of their residency or fellowship training and maintain board certification to the extent required by the applicable specialty/subspecialty board, and satisfy recertification requirements.

Practice Details
MidMichigan Health is looking for two general surgeons to meet community needs. This is a community based general surgery practice providing inpatient and outpatient surgical care and clinical visits. Together they will practice as employees of a financially strong multispecialty group affiliated with a premier health system, Michigan Medicine. This opportunity will provide surgeons with a full spectrum of general surgery cases to include, but not limited to, colonoscopies, endoscopies, scopes, breast, thyroids, GI (upper and lower) and all bread and butter cases. Subspecialty support is available at our Midland location if needed.
There is the potential for teaching and leadership opportunities within the organization.
