Nuvance Health is seeking a Network Medical Director to oversee our skilled nursing facility, assisted living and long-term care services. This is an exciting brand new role that offers the opportunity to build and implement a network strategy yet remain in a clinical capacity within our network. The role is full time and will be split into a 60% Administrative and 40% Clinical role. We offer the flexibility to have your “home” based out of any of our ambulatory practices in Fairfield or Litchfield counties in quintessential New England.
Job Summary:
The Network Director is an integral member of the organization, receiving administrative and leadership guidance from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Network Director – Primary Care, Senior Medical Directors (SMD), and senior members of the WCHN executive leadership team. By virtue of his/her visibility and credibility within the clinical enterprise, SNF Network Director’s alignment with the organization's strategic and operational vision is essential to his/her success. While the SNF Network Director reports directly to the Network Director – Primary Care (or designee), SNF Network Director needs the requisite skills, attitude, and philosophy to work collaboratively with other stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization. The SNF Network Director is a key physician champion within WCMG helping to lead, develop, implement, and monitor clinical, educational, and operational goals and objectives related to WCMG’s relationships with SNFs
Working collaboratively with the Network Director – Primary Care and his/her Medical Director peers, the SNF Network Director has broad responsibility in the following domains:

Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
- Have successfully completed a Family Medicine Residency or an Internal Medicine AND Pediatric Residency or Internal Medicine Residency. Geriatrics Fellowship is preferred or commensurate geriatric experience.
- Must be Board Certified with at least 5 years’ experience as a Primary Care Physician with some nursing home experience. Previous Administrative experience preferred.
- Full time weekday 8 hour schedules between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday – Friday.
