Providence Cancer Institute is seeking a board-certified, Medical Oncologist, senior physician with 5 to 10 years of clinical experience to serve as Medical Director for Providence Medical Oncology and Hematology in Oregon. The Medical Director will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust hematology and medical oncology program. They will provide strong leadership, assist in recruiting high caliber talent into Providence Cancer Institute, and promote quality of care. They also participate in Providence Oregon Foundation philanthropic activities. The Medical Director will clearly and effectively articulate the goals, direction, mission, and values of Providence to associates and caregivers who work within the Providence Cancer Institute.

• Administrative role, flexible, part-time (up to 0.8 FTE)
• Board-certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
• Oncology clinical practice with administrative leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Medical Director will serve as part of Governance Team for Providence Cancer Institute
• A track record of supporting collaboration across departments or divisions in the healthcare system and unifying stakeholders around the shared vision.
• Collaboration with Earl A Chiles Research Institute and support of clinical trials program across all disease sites
• Successful experience in mentoring new clinical providers and developing talent.
• Possess excellent clinical skills and have established record of scholarly activity or demonstrate a passion for clinical trial development and accrual or translational scientific collaborations."
• Proven financial management skills; the ability to advocate on behalf of the financial needs of the service line.
