Dothan Hematology and Oncology is an independent, well established (over 30 years) and loyal group to Flowers Hospital. They currently have three physicians and six nurse practitioners. They are looking for another physician as the dynamics of that group has changed over the past few years with one provider retiring and two others leaving to take advantage of other opportunities. When administrative changes occurred at SAMC, our competitor hospital, they chose FH over SAMC. We benefit greatly from their many ancillary tests they refer to FH as well as the procedures they refer to FH surgeons. They would like another provider to help with the patient load as well as to have a succession plan as Dr. John Dunn, the oldest member of that group is 61 and looking at cutting back when feasible.
