Seeking a Hematologist-Oncologist for the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs California. Our preferred candidate will have previous cancer center & practice building experience. This is a long term practice opportunity, perfect for anyone that wants to establish roots in our beautiful community and provide an exceptional level of service to our patients.
We offer two practice models. You can choose from a traditional employment with benefits option through a multi-specialty group, or establish your own practice through a “hybrid” private practice model that includes a financial support package from the hospital with minimal business and overhead responsibilities. About the Center:
Encompassing 60,000 square feet, the Palm Springs cancer center features advanced technology in a warm, patient friendly environment. The multidisciplinary team of cancer specialists includes physicians, nurses, technologists and support staff who care for patients in a convenient and comfortable setting. The medical staff is comprised of medical oncologists/hematologists, a radiation oncologist, two surgical oncologists, a gynecologic oncologist, a specialist in thoracic surgery, two neurosurgeons, two pathologists, two radiologists, a clinical psychologist and pharmacists licensed to assist with acute pain management.
The Center has been providing Palm Springs cancer treatment since 1989. In 2011, the Comprehensive Cancer Center opened a 4,000 square-foot La Quinta cancer treatment satellite serving East valley residents and featuring a state of the art Infusion Center. Notably, the Comprehensive Cancer Center received a three-year accreditation and an Award of Commendation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons for meeting or exceeding 36 standards of care with no deficiencies.
