Western Connecticut Medical Group has an excellent opportunity for a full-time, employed Hematologist/Oncologist with subspecialty interest at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. Danbury is located about 60 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York state. Our long established and busy practice includes seven physicians and three Advanced Practitioners. Our office is based in Praxair Cancer Center within the Danbury Hospital Campus.

The medical oncologists at Danbury Hospital and Praxair Cancer Center are subspecialized and members of the network’s disease teams that incorporate experts in radiation oncology and cancer surgery as well as genetics, research coordinators, dieticians, and dedicated disease specific nurse navigators. We are a member of NRG and have a robust clinical trials portfolio.  The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in both Hematology and Oncology and have subspecialty interest in breast, gyn onc, GI, or hematologic malignancies. There is some teaching of medicine residents and medical students. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as relocation.

Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. Danbury is home to Western Connecticut State University as well as a number of historical sites, museums, theaters and art galleries. Surrounded by a number of quaint towns with scenic New England landscapes, the area offers a variety of excellent housing and school options. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible via train, car, or bus.
