St Francis Medical Oncology Service is seeking an experienced Medical Oncologist or Hematologist/Oncologist to lead an aggressive growth initiative and provide tertiary oncology care for the regional population. Directorship or leadership experience is preferred. The new physician will play an integral role in the hiring of a second physician to establish and grow the service line. The community consists of 7 General Surgeons, 9 Obstetric Gynecology physicians, 1 Gynecologic oncologist, 3 ENT surgeons, 2 Cardiovascular surgeons, 5 Gastroenterologists and 3 Pulmonologists. Approximately 800-900 new oncology cases are identified each year. The Medical Oncologists are employed by the St. Francis Hospital, located in Columbus, Georgia.
