MedStar Health is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to operate as anchor at MedStar Southern Maryland Medical Center, one of the bases of the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute. The successful candidate will be given an opportunity to build a successful practice in a major community affiliate of an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center based on clinical care in a network.
The MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute consists of ten hospitals operated by MedStar Health with the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center as its research base. The practice based at MedStar Southern Maryland Medical Center will focus on general oncology, with opportunities to grow programs in cancer survivorship, tobacco cessation and lung cancer screening. The practice will also have access to the clinical trial portfolio of the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Requirements:
Degree of MD or DO with subspecialty training and certification in Hematology and Oncology
American Board certification in Internal Medicine
Valid and unrestricted Maryland medical license.
