Tulane University School of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine, is seeking a geriatric internist to join the academic hospitalist program.
Qualified Candidates:
- Join a robust academic hospitalist group of 18+ teaching faculty that practice evidence-based medicine
- Team is active in scholarly activities including quality improvement and medical education
- Faculty provide inpatient and medical consultative care at University-affiliated hospitals
- Ideal candidate must have the ability to work as part of a professional team and to collaborate effectively with individuals within the university as well as outside contractors
- Ability to employ process and quality improvement techniques
- Applicant must have skill in the understanding of, and sensitivity to, persons of all social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds
- Experience and interest in student and resident education is preferred
- Geriatric fellowship required
- Must be board certified or board eligible in internal medicine
- Eligible for a medical license in the state of Louisiana
- CDS and DEA also required
