Tulane University School of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine is seeking a BE/BC general internist and geriatric internist to join our academic hospitalist program. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
These faculty provide inpatient and medical consultative care at University-affiliated hospitals in concert with house staff. Applicants will join a robust academic hospitalist group active in scholarly activities including quality improvement and medical education. Those with experience and interest in student and resident education desired.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Medical Degree required.
2. Board certification/ board eligibility in General Internal Medicine.
3. Eligible for a medical license in the state of Louisiana as well as CDS and DEA required.
4. Prior experience in teaching residents and students preferred.
5. Ability to work as part of a professional team and to collaborate effectively with individuals within the University as well as with outside contractors.
6. Ability to employ process and quality improvement techniques
7. Skill in the understanding of, and sensitivity to, persons of all social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
Our Hospitalist program is a group of 18 teaching faculty that practice evidence-based medicine to provide the highest quality care and excellence in hospital medicine. The Hospitalist Service has a record of problem-solving and is essential to the improved quality of healthcare as Core Measures Physician Champions.
