Clinical Educator/Full-Time Evening Teaching Hospitalist Opening – Norwalk, Connecticut (40 miles from New York City) H-1B may be available

Nuvance Health (formerly Western Connecticut Health Network) is seeking a Hospital Clinician Educator/Full time Teaching Evening Hospitalist for Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, CT from 4 PM – 12 AM Monday - Friday. The ideal candidate is a highly competent, well trained internist or family practitioner to join our expanding team of inpatient specialist physicians. Norwalk Hospital is a Yale-affiliated community teaching hospital with a robust internal medicine residency program, located less than an hour from NYC in beautiful Fairfield County.

Norwalk Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, is accredited as a Stroke Center and certified to provide Emergency Angioplasty for heart attack.  Established in 1893, Norwalk Hospital is a 366 bed, not-for-profit community hospital providing Fairfield and Westchester County residents convenient access to exceptional care, close to home. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with University of Vermont Larner School of Medicine, Yale University, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, Sacred Heart University, UConn, Quinnipiac, and Western Connecticut State University among others.

Job Summary:

Provide medical care to patients, assist them to recover from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses as well as precept our IM Residents and medical students.

Job Requirements:

  • MD or DO with CT State and Federal Narcotic Use Registration
  • Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency
  • Must be Board Certified and have prior teaching experience as Staff Physician/Hospitalist
  • Willingness to work Monday – Friday, 4 PM -12 AM and occasional weekends
