HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking a board certified or board eligible internal medicine or family medicine hospitalist to join our established and collegial HM team in beautiful Pensacola, Florida. Position Highlights

• Average patient volume of approximately 19 patients/billable encounters per physician
• No ICU or CCU primary coverage; hospital medicine does not manage ICU/CCU patients
• The ICU is a 42-bed closed unit with a dedicated intensivist team
• ICU team responds to all code blue events day and night
• Hospitalist physicians also respond to code blues when the patient is on the HM service
• Practice within a 515-bed tertiary care facility
• Excellent specialty support across a wide range of services

Ideal Candidate

• Board certified or board eligible in IM or FM
• Active (or ability to obtain) Florida medical license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Team-oriented, patient-centered approach to care
• Comfortable responding to code blue events for patients on the hospital medicine service
