TeamHealth's special operations role is a dedicated team of experienced hospitalists that travel to TeamHealth partner facilities throughout the southeast. Our special ops hospitalists help us out with start up programs, leadership openings, and turnover locations while improving communication and best practices with our hospital partners. More than a locum tenens, our special ops team is an elite and vital part of the top-notch physician staffing plans that we are known for. This is a unique position that allows you to travel where you're needed within the southeast, work in a variety of locations for premium pay, guaranteed hours, a flexible schedule, light shift load and yearly retention bonus! Special operations physicians are chosen specifically for their experience, flexibility and ability to provide excellent patient care in a variety of settings. We are looking for travelers to assist us with our exponential growth in the southeast region. We help our special ops physicians obtain 3-5 state licenses in Virginia, North and South Carolinas, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, and more. The position requires 120 hours per month. Candidates should be board certified in internal medicine or (in some cases) family practice with hospitalist experience/hospitalist residency track as well as ACLS certifications. There are both day and night roles available, and you should be comfortable with procedures and codes (generally not required but are a possibility). We are seeking clinicians who are comfortable in a variety of practice settings and can easily create good relationships with nursing and administrative staff.
