TeamHealth has a new Hospitalist opening at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, Texas. This is an established program between TeamHealth and HCA staffed with internal medicine hospitalists and nocturnists that are all local to Austin. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule with shifts from 11am to 11pm. Round Rock Medical Center has 175 beds with an open ICU and our physicians are not required to do procedures. During the day there are 5 rounding physicians and 2 swing physicians who do admissions only. At night we have 1 nocturnist and 1 nurse practitioner to assist. Admissions take place typically from 1pm to 9pm with a maximum number capped at 12. The swing shift is paid for the full 12-hour shift even though the physicians are not in the hospital a full 12 hours and compensated for day rates 11am to 7pm and night rates 7pm to 11pm.
