Envision Physician Services is seeking Hospitalists at Methodist Texsan Hospital located in San Antonio, TX.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospitalist Physician to join our Methodist Texsan Hospital Medicine program. As a Hospitalist, you will provide high-quality inpatient care to our patients, ensuring their well-being and positive health outcomes. Join our team and contribute to a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Responsibilities:

1. Physician Staffing:

   • Participate in a 6-physician program.
   • Physician staffing:
     • 1 physician for day shifts.
     • An APP is in-house during the night shifts.
   • Physician pager call at night.

2. Open ICU Management:

   • Collaborate with Intensivists and the Emergency Department (ED) team in managing the Open ICU.
   • Intensivists are available 24/7, either on-site or reachable by phone.
   • Hospitalists admit patients and consult with the Intensivist team.
   • As the primary attending physician, hospitalists see Open ICU patients every day, regardless of their location.

3. Code and Procedure Responsibilities:

   • ED providers are responsible for running codes.
   • Hospitalists have the option to perform procedures if they are privileged, although time constraints often limit these opportunities.

4. On-site Presence:

   • As a single physician model, the physician is required to be on-site from 7 am to 7 pm.
   • After rounding and when ER admissions have slowed down, the physician may have some flexibility in heading home.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active medical license and unrestricted ability to practice medicine.
• Must be a valid US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Unfortunately we cannot consider J-1 or H-1B Visa holders at this hospital.
• Experience in hospital medicine, including managing a diverse range of medical conditions.
• Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current medical knowledge and practices.
