TeamHealth is seeking a full-time staff hospitalist to join our hospital medicine team at Wythe County Community Hospital in beautiful Wytheville, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys the variety and autonomy of practicing in a community hospital setting, while having the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team and access to a broad range of specialty services.

Hospitalists at WCCH will enjoy a day shift, 7-on/7-off schedule and will have the opportunity work alongside one advanced practice clinician. Nights are covered by an in-house APC, so some light backup call is required. Additionally, hospitalists are required to monitor patients in the ICU and perform procedures like central line placement and intubation in emergencies.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine or family medicine
• Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Virginia medical license and DEA
• New graduates and experienced hospitalists encouraged to apply
