Per Diem Infectious Disease Physician Opening/Weekend Coverage in Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)

Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, is seeking per diem weekend coverage in our Infectious Disease Department at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located about 50 miles outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. Candidate should be board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice CT.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Astride a hill with a commanding view of the Long Island Sound, Norwalk Hospital serves a varied and attractive region of Southern Connecticut. The hospital is just minutes from beautiful places to hike, swim, sail or just walk along the beach. Connecticut Magazine recently named South Norwalk as the “hottest” nightspot between Boston and New York City, with a plethora of theater groups and restaurants to choose from. New York City is easily accessible by car or train.
