Texas Health Resources is looking for an Infectious Disease physician with advanced training and education in hospital epidemiology to provide system-level support for our Infection Prevention and Antibiotic Stewardship programs, as well as support 5 of our hospital entities who do not currently have an Infectious Disease physician for consultation.
Qualifications needed:
• MD or DO candidates
• Current Texas license
• Internal Medicine residency completion required from an accredited ACGME program
• Infectious Disease fellowship completion required from an accredited ACGME program
• Evidence of hospital epidemiology training and/or experience
• Board certified
• Candidate must exhibit a comprehensive understanding of infection readiness for emerging infectious diseases. He/she must possess communication skills that demonstrate the ability to develop consensus among the executive leadership team, physicians, and staff. Must be able to synthesize IP and ASP information in a manner that enhances understanding among key stakeholders and possess the ability to effectively analyze data and information to successfully formulate strategies to mitigate identified clinical risks. Must have the ability to lead transformational change resulting in improved patient safety, high reliability and reduction of harm from infection.
• Position would be employed at Texas Health Resources for 30 hours per week.
• Additional 10 hours per week can be spent as a clinical ID physician or work part-time 30 hours per week.
