Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a Primary Care Physician for their Danbury Primary Care office. It is our largest Primary Care facility with close proximity to Danbury Hospital in a highly regarded well established practice with flexible hours and limited on call obligations. You will work with 9 Physician and 5 Advance Practice Provider colleagues.

We have the ability to coordinate primary care and specialty care needs with the advanced diagnostic and treatment services available through our network of over 400+ Physicians and 140+ Advanced Practice Providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and Eastern New York with over 70 outpatient practice locations and 3 member hospitals: Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, and Norwalk Hospital. Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals are teaching hospitals and are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean and Yale University School of Medicine.
WCMG Primary Care is also committed to the mental wellbeing of our patients. We employee Behavioral Health Consultants who are embedded in our Primary Care practices to support our physicians in providing mental health care to our patients. WCMG Primary Care has also invested in a robust care management program utilizing care managers to ensure a smooth transition through the care continuum.

Job Summary:
Our Primary Care medical practice is looking for a compassionate Family Practice or Internal Medicine/Pediatric physician to provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions, but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This as a full-time, office-based position providing out-patient services only, utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.
Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with CT Controlled Substances and Federal DEA registration.
- Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine Residency.
- Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible.
- Flexible full time weekday variable 8 hour schedules between 7:30 am – 6:30 pm.
- Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only with nurse triage.
