TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a board certified Internal Medicine physician to lead a GME Residency program in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ideal candidate will oversee the development, application and the maintenance of certification of the Residency in compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements and the Policies and Procedures of the Sponsoring Institution. This opportunity is 50% clinical services and 50% administrative services and it scheduled to begin summer of 2020. The Program Director of the Internal Medicine program is responsible for the leadership, creation organization, operation and the general administration of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of the Internal Medicine Residency program. Requirements include board certified in Internal Medicine, the ability to obtain and maintain Florida state medical license, and willingness to combine administrative and clinical responsibilities (50/50). Other skills include the ability to work clinically 1 week out of the month (7 on 7 off schedule), strong administrative and team building skills, and excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
