Detroit Medical Center is expanding their Primary Care network due to the large, established patient base. We are looking to add physicians throughout our 8-hospital system and its affiliated outpatient practices.
We currently have an excellent outpatient Internal Medicine practice opportunity in Downtown Detroit. Join one other established practitioner in the growth of the practice and expansion of relationships with businesses and others in the Detroit Proper community. This location is a prime area for patients that commute to the downtown area from the suburbs and do not want to travel back to suburbs to see a physician.
- Average daily patient census around 25
- Hours: Monday-Tuesday 8 am – 6 pm, Wednesday-Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm
- Phone call rotated between physicians
- Excellent opportunity for growth and relationship building as the practice helps to meet the needs of downtown business employees
- Privileges at Harper Hospital (though can be outpatient only with inactive privileges)
This practice is located in the highly preferable Campus Martius area of downtown. Campus Martius Park anchors a two square block district that is the commercial center and heart of downtown Detroit. Surrounded by over 6.5 million square feet of mixed used space from the stunning historic architecture of the landmark Penobscot Building to the contemporary Compuware and Quicken Loans Headquarters and One Kennedy Square Buildings, the Campus Martius district is a regional destination. All of the major avenues radiate out from Detroit’s Point of Origin in the Park.
The Campus Martius district is a 24-hour neighborhood comprised of 20,000 office employees, 750 residents, 35+ dining options, 50 retail outlets, the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel, 10,000 Parking spaces and over two million annual visitors.
The district’s landmark is the award-winning Campus Martius Park, a 2.5 acre public square and year-round entertainment venue. Located at the heart of the neighborhood and downtown on Woodward Avenue, the Park is also the crossroads to all the other major downtown activity. Due to the changing demographics and the growth of the downtown as it is being developed, this practice has the potential to reach numerous patients with great diversity. A physician can come in and help develop the practice and its expansion.
Candidates must be BE/BC in Internal Medicine with an active Michigan license (or in process). Please submit current CV for immediate consideration.
