In San Juan, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician or Internal Medicine Physician.
Overview:
- Provide preventative and primary medical care for patients at a federally qualified community health center
- Treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds
- Work creatively as a member of a health oriented team composed of health professions from a variety of disciplines for the healing and betterment of the center's patients
- Physician will supervise midlevel providers as appropriate and participate in organizational performance improvement program
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Completion of approved post-graduate training/residency
- Board certified or Board eligible (with intent to certify) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions, and current CPR Certification
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred

Our facility is a federally qualified health center serving the low income and uninsured families of Hidalgo and Starr Counties in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. Our mission is to serve the community in a positive, compassionate manner by providing the highest degree of primary and preventive health care services within every department of the center while excelling at customer service. The primary populations served are the uninsured, medically indigent residents and migrant and seasonal families and their families. We offer a complete set of primary health care services at 10 clinic locations - 8 in Hidalgo County and 2 in Starr County. Health services include family medicine, internal medicine, pediatric care, OBGYN, dental care, behavioral health services, nutritional/health education, case management, social services, outreach services and eligibility assistance. Our center is accredited by the Joint Commission.
