Neurology (Neurohospitalist) Opening 7 on/7 off– Norwalk Hospital - Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)

Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, has as excellent opportunity for an employed, full-time, neurologist / neurohospitalist at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. Join a growing practice with telestroke coverage outsourced during non-business hours, collegial colleagues, a strong IM hospitalist and critical care group that serves as the primary care team for hospitalized patients with the neurohospitalist serving in a consultative role.  Opportunity for 7 on 7 off schedule. Our Neurology team at Norwalk is part of a comprehensive neurosciences program that spans our larger 7 hospital system and includes Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, and rehabilitation. There is ample opportunity to participate in teaching, research, and clinical trials. Outpatient opportunity is also available. 

Our ideal candidate will be a well-trained, board certified/eligible neurologist looking to join a highly capable team of established and respected neurologists.  Subspecialty training is desired but not a prerequisite. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as sign on and relocation allowance.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
