Full-time Neurology (Neurohospitalist) Opening 7 on 7 off schedule – Norwalk Hospital - Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)
Western Connecticut Medical Group has as excellent opportunity for an employed, full-time, neurologist at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located one hour outside of New York City. Join a growing practice with a well-balanced call schedule with telestroke coverage. Initially, the position will be focused on inpatient care (neurohospitalist) but we expect there will be an opportunity to expand the practice into the ambulatory setting if the newly recruited physician has an interest. Opportunity for 7 on 7 off schedule.
Our ideal candidate will be a well-trained, board certified/eligible neurologist looking to join a highly collegial team of established and respected neurologists. Subspecialty training is desired but not a prerequisite. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.
Western Connecticut Health Network includes Norwalk, Danbury, and New Milford Hospitals in addition to our Medical Group, which has over 70 outpatient practice locations. Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
