Excellent Full-Time Maternal Fetal Medicine Opening - Teaching and Research - Fairfield County, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)

Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for coverage at our Norwalk and Danbury Hospital locations. We are located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 50 miles northeast of New York City, near the border of Putnam and Westchester counties in New York State.

This is a teaching position that includes teaching to the residents in our OB/GYN residency program as well as medical students. There is opportunity for faculty appointment with University of Vermont as well as research opportunities through our network wide centralized research department in addition to potential leadership roles within the OB/GYN Department for interested candidates.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in MFM and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. Our network sees approximately 3,000 deliveries per year.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As teaching hospitals, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 400+ physicians and 150+ advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
