Job Description

Austin Maternal Fetal Medicine seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join a busy perinatal practice. Our HCA hospital-employed practice provides outpatient consultation and a significant amount of co-management for pregnancies with maternal and fetal complications. In addition, we provide inpatient consultation for a busy, expanding Antepartum service at the St David’s Women’s Center of Texas, the region’s first women’s hospital. 


Our team includes 8 Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists, we are looking for our 9th. We are an NIH MFMU site. The practice performs a wide variety of services including preconception counseling, fetal screening, chorionic villous sampling, amniocentesis, fetal echocardiography, and management and treatment of maternal and fetal complications. Our practice is AIUM accredited with state of the art GE ultrasound equipment and maintains certified ultrasonographers through the Fetal Medicine Foundation. While we do not provide full care or perform deliveries, we do manage multiple intrapartum conditions including glycemic and hypertension management and as well as more complex maternal conditions including coagulopathy and cardiopulmonary disease. A robust Obstetrical Hospitalist Program, the first of its kind in Central Texas, provides support for our active Central Texas transport program. North Austin Medical Center has 24 hour in house neonatology coverage for the 57 neonatal intensive care bassinet level III NICU.
