Vaughan Regional, a LifePoint Health facility, is adding a third OBGYN to the community to respond to the growing need for additional women's care in the area. The position will be hospital-employed, with a very rewarding comp and benefits package, along with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. If needed, student loan assistance may also be available. Call will be shared call with 2 other established OBGYNs. The incoming OBGYN can expect a 5-day work week as they build their own practice on the hospital campus. Vaughan Regional’s 4th floor is dedicated to Labor and Delivery. It features 18 postpartum beds, 6 labor and delivery suites, a C-Section suite and a level 2 nursery. There is a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio for this service line. This service utilizes Centricity monitoring and the Cuddles Security System for its patients. The provider can immediately anticipate seeing patients 4 days a week in office and performing surgery 1 day per week, and this schedule is flexible. Vaughan Regional employs 600 people. The city of Selma has a population of approximately 25,000 with a secondary service area of 90,000. The medical staff consists of more than 75 physicians serving 22 medical specialties. An incoming OBGYN will benefit from an underserved patient base and a community that is experiencing strong need for obstetric and gynecological services. Centrally located in the state, Selma is only a short drive to Birmingham and the Gulf Coast.
