Excellent per diem OB/GYN Hospitalist Opening– Norwalk, Connecticut (One hour from NYC)
Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a per diem Ob/Gyn Hospitalist for our 24/7 in house OB/GYN program at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut. Norwalk is located about one hour northeast of New York City along the Long Island Sound in Fairfield County, CT. Ob/Gyn Hospitalist coverage is 24 hours in house. Our OB/GYN hospitalists cover Labor & Delivery, Ob/Gyn consults in the ER, emergent gyn surgery, and back up our midwives. Our team of midwives takes first call and will follows up with patients in the office. Norwalk hospital sees approximately 1,200-1,300 deliveries a year and has a Level II NICU as well as excellent specialty backup, including Maternal Fetal Medicine and Gyn Oncology. The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology.

As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Medical students and OB/GYN residents rotate through the OR. Norwalk Hospital is part of Western Connecticut Health Network, which also includes New Milford and Danbury Hospitals.
