Lourdes Hospital, a part of Ascension Health Systems in upstate New York, is seeking an OB/GYN physician to join another employed OB/GYN in coverage needs for the Lourdes’ deMarillac Maternity Program. This physician will assist in the support of healthy births within the community through clinical expertise, education, support and compassionate care. Lourdes has partnered with an OB Hospitalist Group to supply 24-hour, in-house laborists. This will allow greater flexibility in managing the office practice and call commitment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide prenatal, obstetric and post-partum care consistent with the New York State Medicaid Prenatal Care Program, including:
- Vaginal and cesarean-section deliveries
- Prenatal visits
- Post-partum visits
- dilation and curettage procedures
- Outpatient services with a flexible schedule to meet patients’ needs
- Gynecological practice, to include the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of both inpatient and outpatient patients presenting with diseases and/or injury to the reproductive and/or genitourinary tract and contiguous structures
- On call rotation to provide uninterrupted emergency coverage for patients cared for by the call group
