In Dallas, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Staff Physician-OBGYN Department Director to provide primary, urgent ambulatory, patient education and coordination of behavioral health services related to specialty in addition to direct the staff and programs of the OB/GYN department.
Job Overview
- Practice medicine within license and training; diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the human body
- Examine patients utilizing all types of instruments, medical equipment and tests following standard medical procedures/protocols
- Complete all meaningful use measures or any other clinical quality metrics (including population health metrics) as defined by CMS, participating insurance health plans and other governing bodies
- Participates in PCMH standard of care, Quality Assurance / Quality Improvement activities, Corporate Compliance, Risk Management, OSHA standards
- Complete all NCQA and Joint Commission patient care standards
- Provide after hour coverage per center policy and schedule
- Develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for OB/GYN services and programs for all providers ensuring quality care for patients
- Manages the OB/GYN department at both locations
- Helps to retain post-partum mothers to continue care for their babies in pediatrics/Family practice as well as the mothers themselves
- Ensures mothers are screened and tested for illegal substances and positive screens are reported when necessary scheduled with Behavioral Health providers

Qualifications:
- MD or DO Family Medicine w/OB or OB/GYN Physician with Board Certification required
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in a primary care specialty.
- 3+ years of direct patient care preferred
- Current unrestricted license from the Texas Medical Board to practice as a physician in the State of Texas.
- Women’s Health Training and Certification
- Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty and current licensure in the State of Texas.
- Must be registered and have current DEA, DPS certificates.
- Current CPR for Healthcare Professionals Certification.
