Job Description

Seeking a full-time nurse practitioner to join the Palliative Care Team in a one year Palliative Care fellowship at Providence Medical Group (PMG) Alaska. In this role, you will participate in a one-year, structured Palliative Care educational program that is integrated with the PMG Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician fellowship, which includes monthly rotations, educational didactics, scholarly activities and elective time to allow the fellow to build a specialized skill set in Palliative Care that could be applicable in various clinical settings (inpatient, outpatient, nursing and assisted living facilities). The fellow will provide direct patient care under the supervision and mentorship of the PMG Alaska Palliative Care team. A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, an interest to work with diverse patient populations and provider groups and have a strong interest to contribute to the care of seriously ill people in Alaska after the fellowship.
