Rapides Women’s & Children’s Hospital is seeking a pediatric intensivist to join our collaborative care team providing PICU services in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Qualified Candidates:
- Passion for the care of pediatric inpatient and critical care patients
- Comfortable teaching family medicine residents and RN, RT, NP team
- Must have strong communication skills and able to work in a team environment
- Interest in quality and evidence-based medicine are critical as clinical quality is a strong focus
- Flexible scheduling—off 26 weeks a year
- Schedule is week on/off with home call at night (30-min response)
- Staffed with 2 pediatric intensivists and 2 pediatric nurse practitioners (PNPs days only)
- Coverage includes inpatient pediatrics, PICU, and pediatric sedation services
- Procedures include intubations, lumbar punctures, line placement, chest tube placement, and CPR
- No ECMO or open hearts
- Must be board certified or board eligible
- Eligible for licensure in Louisiana
