Presbyterian Healthcare Services is a locally owned, not-for-profit organization based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our integrated healthcare system includes eight hospitals in seven New Mexico communities, a medical group, multi-specialty clinics and a health plan. Presbyterian’s flagship hospital of 400+ beds in the heart of Albuquerque is home to the Children’s Program at Presbyterian.
The Children’s Program at Presbyterian is seeking a Medical Director for the PICU service. The Medical Director will be responsible for the management of MD staff including development and coaching; evaluations; dealing with performance issues; strong collaboration with unit Nursing leadership; ECMO program management and development; PICU program development. PICU MD skills including the management of post-CV surgery patients a must.
The Presbyterian Children’s Service Line encompasses both inpatient and outpatient services for specialty pediatric care. The PICU is 21 beds and admitted 669 patients in 2016. In addition, we have a Level III NICU with over 60 beds and our Pediatric Hospitalist manages a 36 bed unit. We have a pediatric intensivist, neonatologist and pediatric hospitalist in house 24/7. Our pediatric subspecialties include: cardiology, pediatric cardiovascular surgery, neurology, endocrinology, surgery, ENT, pulmonology, gastroenterology, hematology and oncology, feeding and development, chronic care, infectious disease, nephrology, and radiology.
