Envision Physician Services is searching for a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician ­to become part of our prestigious practice at Oak Hill Hospital in­­ the Tampa Bay, Florida area. We are currently seeking a clinician with an interest in working in a busy community hospital as we well as working in a teaching environment. Qualified candidates should be BC/Peds with EM experience, and must have current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Oak Hill Hospital Pediatric ED Features:

• 8 private bed Pediatric ED opened April 2018
• Separate pediatric entrance
• 10,500 patient visits per year (pre-Covid)
• Coverage: 9 hour physician Plus In-house patient rounding [call and coverage for admissions] Avg Census of 1-2 patients
• Academic focus with EM, FP, IM residents and medical students
• EMR - Meditech
• Voice Recognition Dictation
• PALS required
• Employee Status (W2 Employee)

Oak Hill Hospital’s Emergency Room and Pediatric Emergency Room–the only one in the region–features one of the area’s busiest ER services with more than 58,000 Combined ER patients treated last year. Oak Hill has achieved several distinctions including: First in the nation to have achieved 100% board certified emergency nurses; 24/7 intensivist critical care coverage in its 36 bed ICU, accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI; Advanced Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission; comprehensive Women’s Imaging Center with digital mammography; accredited Cancer Institute (ACoS CoC); Heart Failure accreditation (SCPC), comprehensive Orthopaedic & Spine Institute; Joint Commission certification for Hip & Knee Replacement and Spinal Fusion programs.

In recent news The Department of Emergency Medicine at Oak Hill Hospital, in collaboration with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, received Initial Accreditation in 2018 to establish a new allopathic Emergency Medicine Residency program in Greater Tampa Bay, FL. The Programs is approved for Six Residents per year, 18 total residents with the First class of PGY1 residents having started July 1, 2018. The Emergency Medicine Residency Program has the benefit of being a new program, offering the ability to provide a cutting-edge learning environment using the latest educational ideas and theories. Oak Hill Hospital’s Graduate Medical Education include: Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Podiatry and Transitional Year.
