Job Description

Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital is seeking a Neonatology Medical Director to join and lead the NICU team in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Schedule is a week on/off with home call at night (30-min response)
  • Staffed with 2 neonatologists and 5 neonatal nurse practitioners (24 hr. in-house NNP coverage)
  • Interest in quality and evidence-based medicine are critical as clinical quality is a strong focus
  • Ideal candidate must have strong communication skills and able to work in a team environment
  • Board certified
  • Eligible for licensure in Louisiana

  • Program features an established 34-bed, Level III NICU
  • 1500+ deliveries annually
  • NNP transport team with physician covering in-house during transports
