Tenet Healthcare is actively seeking Neonatologists for two full-time, clinical academic opportunities with the section of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. The candidates must be board certified or board eligible (with the intention of becoming board certified) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and have a track record of academic achievements and/or funded research. Candidates should be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the Drexel University College of Medicine.
The position comes with the possibility of protected time for research in addition to research funds and bench space. Ongoing laboratory research in the Section of Neonatology includes studies in neuroprotection, immune regulation, and developmental pulmonary pathology. Ongoing clinical research includes studies on surfactant, pharmacologic treatment for hyperbilirubinemia, and probiotics for prevention of NEC, among others.
Temple University Hospital NICU Opportunity
There is an opportunity for a full time clinical neonatologist to join the section of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. All clinical duties will take place at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The Temple University neonatal intensive care unit is a Level III 26 bed unit staffed full time by physicians and physician assistants. Clinical duties include covering day time, night time and weekend shifts. There is an opportunity for providing medical education as medical students from Temple University Hospital and fellows from St. Christopher’s Hospital rotate through the unit. The medical team at Temple University Hospital actively participates in the Vermont Oxford Network as well as participates in various quality improvement projects.
