Providence is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered General Pediatrician to join the team in Anchorage, Alaska. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This physician will play a vital role in promoting healthy growth and development, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through adolescence
- Perform well-child examinations and developmental screenings
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions
- Administer and counsel patients and families regarding immunizations and preventive care
- Collaborate with specialists, care coordinators, behavioral health providers, and community resources to ensure high-quality patient care
- Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, and safety
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), Epic
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
- Support organizational goals related to patient experience, quality, and access
Qualifications:
Required:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in Alaska
- Current DEA certification and BLS/PALS certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience in outpatient general pediatrics
- Experience working in a team-based care environment
- Interest in quality improvement, population health, and preventive care
- Experience caring for diverse and underserved populations

Position Highlights:
- $5,000 and 80 hours towards CME
- 264 hours annually of Paid Time Off
