Job Description

Fairview Health Services is seeking a pediatric physician to join a primary care practice at Fairview Clinics - Princeton.

Join a group of three pediatricians and a pediatric nurse practitioner providing pediatric care to the region.  Due to community demand and growth opportunities, an additional practice location and providers are being added.  The pediatrics providers are part of a larger group of primary care providers including family medicine and ob/gyn practitioners providing care for the region.

Our primary care opportunities qualify for a Resident Stipend and Loan Forgiveness.

Practice Details:

  • Patient encounters average 22-24 patients per day.   
  • Onsite services include: pharmacy, lab, x-ray, and ultrasound.
  • Highlights include newly remodeled pediatric rehab facility and current pilots to increase mental health access.
  • We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).   
  • A full-time physician works 36 patient contact hours per week.  Full or part-time opportunities are available.
  • Opportunities for newborn rounding and procedures if desired. 
  • Fairview Northland Medical Center is a 54-bed licensed facility offering a full range of primary and specialty care services to the 100,000+ population of Princeton, Minnesota and surrounding communities.   
  • Patients requiring hospitalization are admitted to either Fairview Northland Medical Center, Maple Grove Hospital, or University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.
  • Call:1-2 days/month (low intensity: phone consultation only with first tier nurse triage).

As part of our participation in the Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO), the physicians use a team approach in managing clinical care. The site is using a model of care, Care Model Innovation, for their patients which actively looks at and changes clinical processes to maximize efficiency, resources, and clinical care.

Position Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatrics residency training program. Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association. Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
