New practice opportunity at Alaska Regional, we are creating an inpatient adult unit and a coordinating outpatient practice as well.  Qualified candidates will be BC/BE in Adult, interested in developing a program and helping grow the service line.  This is an employed practice with benefits.  

Alaska Regional Hospital was born in 1963 as Anchorage Presbyterian Hospital.  In 1976 the hospital moved to its present location on DeBarr Road and now is a 250-bed licensed and accredited facility.  In 1994, it joined the HCA family of hospitals and has the support of one of the leaders in healthcare services in the country.  

With more than 1,000 employees and medical staff of over 550 independent practitioners, Alaska Regional offers a broad spectrum of services.  Now in 2017, we are preparing to develop an inpatient/outpatient behavioral health program for the community.  

We need devoted and mission-driven psychiatrists to help us help our residents in the area who are suffering mental and behavioral health issues.  

Anchorage, Alaska is the state’s largest city and is in the south-central part of the state on the Cook Inlet. It's known for its cultural sites, including the Alaska Native Heritage Center, which displays traditional crafts, stages dances, and presents replicas of dwellings from the area’s indigenous groups. The city is also a gateway to nearby wilderness areas and mountains including the Chugach, Kenai and Talkeetna.  Alaska residents enjoy the Alaskan life-style.
