Full-time Inpatient Psychiatry Opening – Teaching Position at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City) – Leadership Potential

Danbury Hospital, located in Danbury, CT, (Fairfield County), about 60 miles northeast of New York City, and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State, is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for coverage in our inpatient unit. We have a 22 bed unit and advanced practitioner coverage in addition to supervision by senior psychiatrists. Weekend coverage is paid at an additional per diem rate. This is a teaching position for third year medical students through the University of Vermont. Future plans include a residency training program. Opportunity for leadership role for the inpatient unit as working Medical Director. $300K compensation package.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible Psychiatrist looking to join a long established, employed group. This is an employed position with Western Connecticut Medical Group.
