Western Connecticut Medical Group, now part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time outpatient psychiatrist for our Danbury, Connecticut office. Danbury is located in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast of New York City, and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. Weekend hospital coverage is paid at an additional per diem rate. Our program includes teaching to residents in our network and third year medical students through the University of Vermont. Our busy practice is long established with a highly collegial and supportive working environment. The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible Psychiatrist.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care.  Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 400+ physicians and 150+ advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT.
