Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist to join our team of dedicated and experienced medical staff who provide outstanding direct psychiatric services for adults, children, and adolescents.

 Duties:

• Provide acute and chronic, mental health care management of the population while providing exemplary customer service and patient satisfaction, and assisting the Organization with these goals.
• Maintain and excel in productivity and quality of care, according to the guidelines and standards of care. Work with the Director of Medical services in achieving markers of meaningful use.
• Maintain adequate medical records, addressing and signing encounter notes, and lab results in a timely manner.
• Maintain productivity and Quality Care as it relates to the guidelines and standards of care and the Organization. Provide excellent customer service. Work with the Director of Medical Services to achieve this goal; reduce patient wait times, etc. Practice effective time management.
• Provide guidance and leadership for the support staff.
• Practice Evidence Base Medicine.
• Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program.
• Supervise mid-level providers and enter into a collaborative practice agreement as appropriate (no more than three full time equivalent APRNs).
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of the health center's mental health protocols.
• To use electronic health record (here) for documentation.
• Review and sign/date lab test results daily both in EHR and printed results, when indicated.
• Review and sign/date ancillary test reports daily, as indicated.
• Follow recall policy for abnormal tests.

 A Successful Candidate:

• Effective clinical and communication skills

 Qualifications:

• Education:  Board Certification as a Psychiatrist licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.

• Other:  Supervises medical students and/or residents on a rotational basis.
  • Must maintain hospital-admitting privileges at appropriate hospitals. Must have reliable transportation.
