Excellent Consult Liaison/Teaching Psychiatry Opportunity, Poughkeepsie, NY (75 Minutes North of New York City)

Vassar Brothers Medical Center is seeking a full-time Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to join its expanding practice in Poughkeepsie, New York, located just 75 minutes north of New York City. This is a teaching opportunity that includes both residents and medical students.

As we welcome our first residents this year, we are looking for an energetic physician that is looking to help build a CL Program. In this role, you will work with the Program Director to develop and implement continuing medical education. This opportunity is for someone that is passionate about supervising, educating, mentoring, and evaluating residents and medical students.

Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center is a 365-bed tertiary care hospital that provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region, with 70K visits annually to the ED. We have excellent specialty backup and support with established centers of excellence in cardiac services, cancer care and women and children's health services.

Vassar focuses on providing the highest quality care and meeting the needs of the community by consistently adding new services and state-of-the-art treatments.  Vassar will be building a new 696,000-square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms over the next year.
