In Bastrop, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a Full-Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to deliver excellent care and professional experience to the patients of our center appropriate for an out-patient, primary care community health center with multicultural, multilingual patient population
Job Overview:
- Provides psychiatric evaluations, reevaluations, diagnoses, and treatment to patients
- Obtain and record pertinent medical, family and social history and perform mental status examinations, and related neurological examinations
- Provide crisis-oriented care for individuals, identified as needing immediate psychiatric intervention, including referral to appropriate levels of care
- Analyze and interpret data, formulate problem lists, and establish a treatment plan for clinical problems
- Order diagnostic testing and therapeutic modalities such as laboratory tests, medications, treatments, X-ray, EKG, etc.
- Provide crisis-oriented care for individuals, identified as needing immediate psychiatric therapeutic intervention, including referral to appropriate levels of care
- Consult and collaborate with other healthcare providers, agencies (e.g., CPS, foster care), and educational personnel (e.g., school counselors/principals), with consent, as necessary
- Monitor and evaluate accuracy of diagnoses and effectiveness of prescribed treatment plans

Qualifications:
- Current valid license to practice medicine in the State of Texas and able to maintain licensure
- Current DEA certificate
- Board eligibility in Psychiatry (ABPN) is required; board certification is required within (3) years of achieving initial eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
