Job Description:

This is a full-spectrum pulmonary and critical care role with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, including a call rotation and ICU coverage. Candidates will have access to a Closed ICU model, a full pulmonary function lab, and advanced technologies including Endobronchial Ultrasound.

Schedule Breakdown:

• 1 week/month ICU

• 1 week/month pulmonary consults

• 2 weeks/month outpatient clinic

• Weekend coverage 1 in every 4–5 weeks

• No overnights (24/7 ICU coverage in place)

• Start Date: Mid-2025

• Boards: BE/BC

• Fellowship: Gastroenterology (required)

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in: FM, IM or Geriatric Medicine

• Open to Residents and Fellows

• Open to Visa Candidates

• ​​​Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

• National Institutes of Health (NIH)

• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

• Active unencumbered physician Mississippi state license

• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program

• One year of work experience as a Gastroenterologist

• One year of EMR experience

• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

• Base Salary: $400,000–$425,000

• Starting Bonus: Available (details at interview)
