Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine Faculty Opening – Norwalk Hospital - Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)

Nuvance Health, formerly Western Connecticut Health, has as excellent opportunity for a full-time, employed Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Physician at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. This is a unique opportunity to join a long established teaching program with the opportunity for a faculty appointment. Our practice includes six full-time physicians. The Norwalk Hospital Pulmonary Fellowship is a Yale University School of Medicine-affiliated program. Norwalk Hospital also has a one-year Sleep Medicine Fellowship program. Our practice is a collegial group with strong commitment to teaching. Duties include outpatient clinics, pulmonary function test interpretation, inpatient consultations, and ICU. We have a robust pulmonary tumor board and an active Global Health program.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. Fellowship training and board certification/eligibility in Sleep Medicine is required for this role. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. In addition to the Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine fellowships, Norwalk Hospital houses Internal Medicine and Radiology residencies, and a Gastroenterology fellowship. As a teaching hospital, we are a branch campus of the University of Vermont College of Medicine. We are also affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine through our teaching programs. Our employed Medical Group includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
