Tenet Healthcare is actively seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist to join the established Division of Pulmonary Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Michigan (CHM) and one of the largest pediatric academic groups in the country. The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine provides care for patients with all chronic lung diseases and sleep disorders. There is a certified CF center which is part of the National CF Therapeutic and Drug Network. Additionally, there are four pediatric sleep labs with 1800 annual sleep studies a year. The division is ranked among the top 50 best pediatric pulmonary division by US News and World Report since the ranking system started.
This position will include inpatient and outpatient responsibilities along with other division members. Physicians are responsible for a minimum of 4-5 half day clinics per week. The call schedule is division with other division members with a minimum of 1:4 nights. Weekend and holiday call will also be division amongst the division members.
Candidates must be fellowship trained in Pediatric Pulmonology. An interests in academics and research are highly preferred as this position will have an academic appointment with SOM-WSU, which is one of the largest medical schools in the nation. CHM is the training site for one of the largest pediatric residencies in the country, several pediatric surgical specialties, and several pediatric fellowship programs. There are also opportunities for collaborative clinical and basic research with various clinical and basic scientists at the Department of Pediatrics and SOM/WSU.
